Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸❤️ As someone who was born and raised in Venezuela, this day means more to me than I can put into words. I know what it’s like to grow up in a country where freedom, opportunity, and hope slowly disappear. I know what it feels like to believe your future has already been decided for you. The United States became my home. It’s where I found safety, where I built my family, and where I was finally given the opportunity to dream bigger than survival. This country didn’t promise me success, but it gave me something incredibly valuable: the freedom to pursue it. I’ll always be proud of where I come from, and I hope one day Venezuela can truly be free and celebrate. My heart is broken for Venezuela but today I feel grateful for the country that welcomed me and gave me a chance to build a new life. Today I learned that no every day is going to look good at the beach, some days the water is crazy and it’s ok to be scared but is also good trying and overcoming fears… like sharks… 🫣 I rode a couple waves and got wiped out a lot, but I really had a lot of fun ! The choppy water helped to practice my paddling and turtle rolls in hard days and will build character and confidence in the water… 🧡 #surfjournal #begginersurfer #surflife
